13-37-234. Religious organization exemptions to be broadly construed. Pursuant to the first amendment to the United States constitution and to ensure the consistent application of the law, the commissioner shall broadly construe the exemptions concerning religious organizations provided in 13-1-101(9)(b)(iv), (15)(b)(v), (19)(b)(v), and (21)(b)(vi).
Terms Used In Montana Code 13-37-234
- Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
- Commissioner: means the commissioner of political practices created by 13-37-102. See Montana Code 13-37-101
