18-4-307. Cancellation of invitations for bids or requests for proposals. (1) An invitation for bids, a request for proposals, or other solicitation may be canceled or any or all bids or proposals may be rejected in whole or in part, as may be specified in the solicitation, when it is in the best interests of the state. The reasons must be made part of the contract file.
Terms Used In Montana Code 18-4-307
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Invitation for bids: means all documents, whether attached or incorporated by reference, used for soliciting bids. See Montana Code 18-4-301
- Request for proposals: means all documents, whether attached or incorporated by reference, used for soliciting proposals. See Montana Code 18-4-301
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Montana Code 1-1-201
(2)The department may consider public comment when deciding whether to take any action described in this section.
