2-15-1734. Board of nursing. (1) In accordance with 37-1-123, there is a board of nursing.

Terms Used In Montana Code 2-15-1734

  • Department: means a principal functional and administrative entity that:

    (a)is created by this chapter within the executive branch of state government;

    (b)is one of the 20 principal departments permitted under the constitution; and

    (c)includes its units. See Montana Code 2-15-102

(2)The board consists of eight members. The members are:

(a)five registered professional nurses, including:

(i)at least one with experience in administration, teaching, or supervision in one or more schools of nursing;

(ii)at least one advanced practice registered nurse;

(iii)at least one engaged in nursing practice in a rural health care facility; and

(iv)at least one engaged in the administration, supervision, or provision of direct client care;

(b)two practical nurses; and

(c)one public member.

(3)The board is allocated to the department as prescribed in 2-15-121.
