2-15-1771. Board of athletic trainers. (1) In accordance with 37-1-123, there is a board of athletic trainers.
Terms Used In Montana Code 2-15-1771
- Department: means a principal functional and administrative entity that:
(a)is created by this chapter within the executive branch of state government;
(b)is one of the 20 principal departments permitted under the constitution; and
(c)includes its units. See Montana Code 2-15-102
(2)The board consists of five members:
(a)one physician, preferably with a background in the practice of sports medicine;
(b)three athletic trainers:
(i)one athletic trainer with experience in one or more postsecondary educational institutions;
(ii)one athletic trainer with experience in one or more secondary schools; and
(iii)one athletic trainer with experience in one or more health care or athletic facilities; and
(c)one public member.
(3)The board is allocated to the department as prescribed in 2-15-121.
(4)Members must be compensated as provided in 2-18-501 through 2-18-503.
