27-17-202. Description of property in affidavit. Where the affidavit describes two or more chattels of the same kind, it must state the number thereof, and where it describes a chattel in bulk, it must state the weight, measurement, or other quantity, as nearly as can be ascertained. Where it describes two or more chattels, it may, at the election of the plaintiff, state the aggregate value of all or, separately, the value of any chattel or of any class of chattels and the aggregate value of the remainder, if any.
Terms Used In Montana Code 27-17-202
- Affidavit: A written statement of facts confirmed by the oath of the party making it, before a notary or officer having authority to administer oaths.
- Affidavit: means a sworn written declaration made before an officer authorized to administer oaths or an unsworn written declaration made under penalty of perjury as provided in 1-6-105. See Montana Code 1-1-203
- Plaintiff: The person who files the complaint in a civil lawsuit.
- Property: means real and personal property. See Montana Code 1-1-205
- Remainder: An interest in property that takes effect in the future at a specified time or after the occurrence of some event, such as the death of a life tenant.
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Montana Code 1-1-201
