27-25-205. To whom writ directed — return. The writ may be directed to the inferior tribunal, board, or officer or to any other person having the custody of the record or proceedings to be certified. When directed to a tribunal, the clerk, if there be one, must return the writ with the transcript required.
Terms Used In Montana Code 27-25-205
- Person: includes a corporation or other entity as well as a natural person. See Montana Code 1-1-201
- Transcript: A written, word-for-word record of what was said, either in a proceeding such as a trial or during some other conversation, as in a transcript of a hearing or oral deposition.
- Writ: A formal written command, issued from the court, requiring the performance of a specific act.
- Writ: means an order in writing issued in the name of the state or of a court or judicial officer. See Montana Code 1-1-202
