28-1-301. (Temporary) Types of obligations involving several persons. Except as provided in 27-1-703, an obligation imposed upon several persons or a right created in favor of several persons may be:

- Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
- Several: means two or more. See Montana Code 1-1-201
(1)joint;
(2)several; or
