3-11-104. Exceptions to civil jurisdiction. City courts do not have jurisdiction in civil actions that might result in a judgment against the state for the payment of money.
Terms Used In Montana Code 3-11-104
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
