30-3-108. Payable on demand. A promise or order is “payable on demand” if:

Terms Used In Montana Code 30-3-108

  • Order: means a written instruction to pay money signed by the person giving the instruction. See Montana Code 30-3-102
  • Promise: means a written undertaking to pay money signed by the person undertaking to pay. See Montana Code 30-3-102
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Montana Code 1-1-201

(1)it states that it is payable on demand or at sight or otherwise indicates that it is payable at the will of the holder; or

(2)it does not state any time of payment.
