33-1-604. Service of process — domestic insurer. (1) Service of process against a domestic insurer must be made pursuant to 35-7-113 or in any other manner permitted by law.

  • Attorney-in-fact: A person who, acting as an agent, is given written authorization by another person to transact business for him (her) out of court.
  • Process: means a writ or summons issued in the course of judicial proceedings. See Montana Code 1-1-202
  • Service of process: The service of writs or summonses to the appropriate party.

(2)Service of process against a domestic reciprocal insurer must be on the attorney-in-fact or in any other manner permitted by law.
