33-2-1138. Penalty. (1) Any insurer failing to timely file the ORSA summary report shall be fined no more than $500 for each day’s delay, up to a maximum penalty of $25,000.

- Insurer: has the meaning provided in 33-1-201, except that the term does not include agencies, authorities, or instrumentalities of the United States, its possessions and territories, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the District of Columbia, or a state or political subdivision of a state. - State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Montana Code 1-1-201
(2)The commissioner shall collect the fine and deposit the money in the state general fund.
