33-30-1020. Coverage for services provided under freedom of choice for mental health services. A health service corporation shall provide, in group and individual insurance contracts, coverage for health services provided by marriage and family therapists licensed under Title 37, chapter 39, if the health care services that marriage and family therapists are licensed to perform are covered by the contracts.

- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Health services: means the health care and services provided by hospitals or other health care institutions, organizations, associations, or groups and by doctors of medicine, osteopathy, dentistry, chiropractic, optometry, and podiatry; nursing services; licensed acupuncturist services; licensed social worker, licensed professional counselor, or psychologist services; medical appliances, equipment, and supplies; and drugs, medicines, ambulance services, and other therapeutic services and supplies.
