33-7-122. Injunction. An application or petition for injunction against any domestic, foreign, or alien society or lodge of a society may not be recognized in any court of this state unless made by the attorney general upon request of the commissioner of insurance.
Terms Used In Montana Code 33-7-122
- Injunction: An order of the court prohibiting (or compelling) the performance of a specific act to prevent irreparable damage or injury.
- Lodge: means subordinate member units of the society, known as camps, courts, councils, or branches or by any other designation. See Montana Code 33-7-108
- Society: means a fraternal benefit society described in 33-7-105. See Montana Code 33-7-108
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Montana Code 1-1-201
