39-71-203. Powers of department — rules. (1) The department is hereby vested with full power, authority, and jurisdiction to do and perform any and all things that are necessary or convenient in the exercise of any power, authority, or jurisdiction conferred upon it under this chapter.

- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
(2)The department may adopt rules to carry out the provisions of this chapter.
