46-20-105. Appeal by one codefendant. When several defendants are tried jointly, any one or more of them may take an appeal but those who do not join in the appeal shall not be affected thereby.

Terms Used In Montana Code 46-20-105

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
  • Several: means two or more. See Montana Code 1-1-201
