46-30-218. Penalty for violating accused’s rights. An officer who delivers to the agent for extradition of the demanding state a person in custody under the governor’s warrant in willful disobedience of 46-30-217 shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction shall be fined not more than $1,000 or be imprisoned not more than 6 months, or both.
