53-4-611. Child-care assistance. Within available funding, the department may provide child-care assistance to:
Terms Used In Montana Code 53-4-611
- Cash assistance: means the programs designed to provide families with monthly cash grants and opportunities leading to self-support and funded, in part, with temporary assistance for needy families block grant funds as provided in 45 C. See Montana Code 53-4-602
- Child-care assistance: means payments to or on behalf of the specified caretaker relative of a dependent child to defray the cost of having a third party care for the child. See Montana Code 53-4-602
- Department: means the department of public health and human services provided for in 2-15-2201. See Montana Code 53-4-602
(1)all families receiving cash assistance if child care is necessary to allow the parent to engage in paid employment; and
(2)families receiving cash assistance if child care is necessary to allow either or both parents to engage in the activities required by an individual responsibility plan.
