69-12-401. Compliance with state law. It is unlawful for any corporation or person or the corporation’s or person’s officers, agents, employees, or servants to operate any motor vehicle for the transportation of persons or property for hire on any public highway in this state except in accordance with the provisions of this chapter.

  • Person: includes a corporation or other entity as well as a natural person. See Montana Code 1-1-201
  • Property: means real and personal property. See Montana Code 1-1-205
