71-3-703. How to obtain lien. A person, company, association, or corporation entitled to a lien under 71-3-701 shall, within 90 days after the seed or grain is furnished or the funds, means, or money is advanced for the seed or grain, file in the office of the secretary of state a statement of agricultural lien as provided in 71-3-125. Unless the person entitled to a lien files the lien statement within the time required, the person is considered to have waived the right to a lien.

- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Lien: A claim against real or personal property in satisfaction of a debt.
- Person: includes a corporation or other entity as well as a natural person. See Montana Code 1-1-201
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Montana Code 1-1-201
