72-5-406. Consent to jurisdiction by acceptance of appointment as conservator. (1) By accepting appointment, a conservator submits personally to the jurisdiction of the court in any proceeding relating to the estate that may be instituted by any interested person.

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

(2)Notice of any proceeding must be delivered to the conservator or mailed to the conservator by certified mail at the conservator’s address as listed in the petition for appointment or as reported to the court and to the conservator’s address as then known to the petitioner.
