77-1-808. (Temporary) State lands recreational use. Money appropriated for the purpose of managing recreational use of state lands must be used by the department for the following purposes:

Terms Used In Montana Code 77-1-808

  • Assets: (1) The property comprising the estate of a deceased person, or (2) the property in a trust account.
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Montana Code 1-1-201

(1)compensation pursuant to 77-1-809 for damage to the improvements of leases that has been proved to be caused by recreational users;

(2)assistance in weed control management necessary as a result of recreational use of state lands;

(3)protection of the resource value of the trust assets;

(4)administration and management for the implementation of recreational use of state lands; and

(5)maintenance of roads necessary for public recreational use of state trust land. (Void on occurrence of contingency–sec. 8, Ch. 596, L. 2003.)
