77-6-108. Who may lease. A person may not lease state lands, except one who is the head of a family, unless the person has attained 18 years of age. An eligible person and an association, company, or corporation authorized to hold lands under lease may lease state lands and may hold more than one lease to state lands.

- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC
