Terms Used In Montana Code > Title 33 > Chapter 17 > Part 6 - Administrators
- Administrator: means a person who collects charges or premiums from residents of this state in connection with life, disability, property, or casualty insurance or annuities or who adjusts or settles claims on these coverages. See Montana Code 33-17-102
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Fiduciary: A trustee, executor, or administrator.
- License: means a document issued by the commissioner that authorizes a person to act as an insurance producer for the lines of authority specified in the document. See Montana Code 33-17-102
- Person: means an individual or a business entity. See Montana Code 33-17-102
- Settlement: Parties to a lawsuit resolve their difference without having a trial. Settlements often involve the payment of compensation by one party in satisfaction of the other party's claims.
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Montana Code 1-1-201
- Trustee: A person or institution holding and administering property in trust.
- Writing: includes printing. See Montana Code 1-1-203
