Terms Used In Nebraska Constitution Article I § 12 - Evidence against self; double jeopardy

  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.

No person shall be compelled, in any criminal case, to give evidence against himself, or be twice put in jeopardy for the same offense.
