- Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
At such time as the congressional term limits amendment set forth in Article XVIII, § 1, of this Constitution, has become part of the United States Constitution, sections 1 through 6 of this Article automatically shall be repealed.
