A personal representative must be allowed all necessary expenses in the administration and settlement of the estate, and fees for services as provided by law, but if the decedent by will makes some other provision for the compensation of the personal representative, this shall be deemed a full compensation for those services, unless within 60 days after his or her appointment the personal representative files a renunciation, in writing, of all claim for the compensation provided by the will.
