If a personal representative, on order of the court, pays over or delivers to the State Treasurer property which has become escheatable to the State, the receipt or certificate of the State Treasurer evidencing the payment or delivery must be filed with the clerk of the district court in the county in which the estate is being administered or is located. Upon filing of the receipt or certificate, the personal representative is released from all further liability relating to the property.
