Terms Used In Nevada Revised Statutes 159.0617

  • Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
  • person: means a natural person, any form of business or social organization and any other nongovernmental legal entity including, but not limited to, a corporation, partnership, association, trust or unincorporated organization. See Nevada Revised Statutes 0.039
  • Testify: Answer questions in court.

1.  Has a personal interest in the well-being of the proposed protected person; or

2.  Possesses information that is relevant to the determination of who should serve as guardian for the proposed protected person, the court or a master of the court or special master appointed pursuant to NRS 159.0615 may allow the person to testify at any hearing held pursuant to this chapter to determine the person most qualified and suitable to serve as guardian for the proposed protected person.
