In lieu of the fine which may be imposed for a violation of NRS 207.400, the convicted person may be sentenced to pay a fine which does not exceed three times:

Terms Used In Nevada Revised Statutes 207.410

  • person: means a natural person, any form of business or social organization and any other nongovernmental legal entity including, but not limited to, a corporation, partnership, association, trust or unincorporated organization. See Nevada Revised Statutes 0.039

1.  Any gross pecuniary value the convicted person gained; or

2.  Any gross loss the convicted person caused, including property damage and personal injury but excluding any pain and suffering, whichever is greater, as a result of the violation. The convicted person may also be sentenced to pay court costs and the reasonable costs of the investigation and prosecution. If property is ordered forfeited pursuant to NRS 207.450, the value of that property must be subtracted from a fine imposed pursuant to this section.
