If a special election is held on the same day as a primary election or general election, any candidate, person, committee, political party or nonprofit corporation that is otherwise required to file a report with the Secretary of State pursuant to NRS 294A.120, 294A.140, 294A.150, 294A.200, 294A.210, 294A.220 or 294A.362 shall, in lieu of complying with the requirements of those sections relating to a special election, comply with the requirements of those sections relating to the primary election or general election, as applicable, except that:

Terms Used In Nevada Revised Statutes 294A.223

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • person: means a natural person, any form of business or social organization and any other nongovernmental legal entity including, but not limited to, a corporation, partnership, association, trust or unincorporated organization. See Nevada Revised Statutes 0.039

1.  A candidate, person, committee, political party or nonprofit corporation is not required to file a report pursuant to NRS 294A.120, 294A.140, 294A.150, 294A.200, 294A.210, 294A.220 or 294A.362 that was due on or before the date on which the call for the special election was issued; and

2.  If the special election is held on the same day as a primary election, the final report for the special election that is required pursuant to NRS 294A.120, 294A.140, 294A.150, 294A.200, 294A.210, 294A.220 or 294A.362 is due on or before the 15th day of the second month after the primary election.
