The Department may adopt regulations that prescribe the manner in which a person who does not owe any taxes or fees to the Department may claim an ownership interest in property transmitted to or seized by the Department. The regulations must set forth:
Terms Used In Nevada Revised Statutes 360A.410
- Department: means the Department of Motor Vehicles. See Nevada Revised Statutes 360A.010
- person: means a natural person, any form of business or social organization and any other nongovernmental legal entity including, but not limited to, a corporation, partnership, association, trust or unincorporated organization. See Nevada Revised Statutes 0.039
1. The procedure for asserting such a claim; and
2. The circumstances under which the Department will honor the claim.
