‘Decedent’ or ‘transferor’ means any person by or from whom a transfer is made, and includes any testator, intestate, grantor, bargainor, vendor, assignor, donor, joint tenant or insured.

- Donor: The person who makes a gift.
- Grantor: The person who establishes a trust and places property into it.
- Intestate: Dying without leaving a will.
- person: means a natural person, any form of business or social organization and any other nongovernmental legal entity including, but not limited to, a corporation, partnership, association, trust or unincorporated organization. See Nevada Revised Statutes 0.039
- Testator: A male person who leaves a will at death.
