A public transit system in a county whose population is 700,000 or more may, in addition to providing local transportation within the county and the services described in NRS 377A.130, provide:

- county: includes Carson City. See Nevada Revised Statutes 0.033
- population: means the number of people in a specified area as determined by the last preceding national decennial census conducted by the Bureau of the Census of the United States Department of Commerce pursuant to Section 2 of Nevada Revised Statutes 0.050
1. Programs to reduce or manage motor vehicle traffic; and
2. Any other services for a public transit system which are requested by the general public, if those additional services are included and described in a long-range plan adopted pursuant to 23 U.S.C. § 134 and 49 U.S.C. § 5303.
