1.  Any rules and regulations adopted by the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association governing the eligibility of a pupil who transfers from one school to another school to participate in an interscholastic activity or event must apply equally to public schools and to private schools that are members of the Association.

Terms Used In Nevada Revised Statutes 385B.130

  • Public schools: means all kindergartens and elementary schools, junior high schools and middle schools, high schools, charter schools and any other schools, classes and educational programs which receive their support through public taxation and, except for charter schools, whose textbooks and courses of study are under the control of the State Board. See Nevada Revised Statutes 385.007

2.  Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, a pupil who is a child of a military family and transferred schools pursuant to the provisions of chapter 388F of NRS is immediately eligible to participate and practice in any sanctioned sport or other interscholastic activity or event at the school to which the pupil transfers.
