The provisions of chapters 433 to 433C, inclusive, of NRS do not limit the right of any person detained hereunder to a writ of habeas corpus upon a proper application made at any time by such person or any other person on his or her behalf.
Terms Used In Nevada Revised Statutes 433.464
- Habeas corpus: A writ that is usually used to bring a prisoner before the court to determine the legality of his imprisonment. It may also be used to bring a person in custody before the court to give testimony, or to be prosecuted.
- person: means a natural person, any form of business or social organization and any other nongovernmental legal entity including, but not limited to, a corporation, partnership, association, trust or unincorporated organization. See Nevada Revised Statutes 0.039
- Writ: A formal written command, issued from the court, requiring the performance of a specific act.
