To preserve vital statistics, the State Registrar is authorized to prepare typewritten, photographic, electronic or other reproductions of original records and files in his or her office. Such reproductions, when verified and approved by the State Registrar, shall be deemed to be the original record, and the original record may be disposed of in accordance with the regulations adopted by the Board.
Terms Used In Nevada Revised Statutes 440.165
- Board: means the State Board of Health. See Nevada Revised Statutes 440.010
- State Registrar: means the State Registrar of Vital Statistics. See Nevada Revised Statutes 440.060
- vital statistics: means records of birth, legitimation of birth, death, fetal death, marriage, annulment of marriage, divorce and data incidental thereto. See Nevada Revised Statutes 440.080
