The board of trustees may issue and sell, for each district in its jurisdiction:

- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
- Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
1. General obligation bonds, payable from taxes;
2. General obligation bonds, payment of which is additionally secured by a pledge of gross or net revenues derived from the operation of hospital facilities; and
3. Special obligation bonds, payable solely from gross or net revenues derived from the operation of hospital facilities, for the purpose of providing funds for the purchase of hospital equipment, the acquisition of property, the construction of buildings and improvement of property owned by the district for use in any one county hospital district.
