Terms Used In Nevada Revised Statutes 459A.030

  • person: means a natural person, any form of business or social organization and any other nongovernmental legal entity including, but not limited to, a corporation, partnership, association, trust or unincorporated organization. See Nevada Revised Statutes 0.039
  • public utility: means any person who furnishes electricity to other persons. See Nevada Revised Statutes 459A.010

(a) Include a statement in the instruction manual for the generator; and

(b) Attach to the generator a legible label, explaining the requirements for installation of the generator and warning of the hazard of backfeed into a public utility‘s system for distribution of electricity. Any advertisement offering to rent or sell a portable generator of electricity must contain the same information.

2.  No person, government, governmental agency or political subdivision may sell, rent or offer to sell or rent a portable generator of electricity unless the label prescribed in subsection 1 is on a visible surface of the generator.
