A corporation, association, firm, partnership, proprietorship or any other legal or commercial entity is liable under this chapter for the acts of its officers, directors, representatives or agents, acting within the scope of their actual or apparent authority. Proof of the acts of any such officer, director, representative or agent shall constitute prima facie proof as being the acts of the corporation, association, firm, partnership or proprietorship itself.

- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
