Nevada Revised Statutes 616C.130 – Insurer’s payment to physician, chiropractic physician, physician assistant or advanced practice registered nurse attending injured employee conditioned upon receipt of itemized statement and certificate
1. The insurer shall not authorize the payment of any money to a physician, chiropractic physician, physician assistant or advanced practice registered nurse for services rendered by the physician, chiropractic physician, physician assistant or advanced practice registered nurse, as applicable, in attending an injured employee until an itemized statement for the services has been received by the insurer accompanied by a certificate of the physician, chiropractic physician, physician assistant or advanced practice registered nurse stating that a duplicate of the itemized statement has been filed with the employer of the injured employee.

2. References to a physician assistant and an advanced practice registered nurse in this section are for the purposes of the examination and treatment of an injured employee which are authorized to be provided by a physician assistant or advanced practice registered nurse in the exclusive context of an initial examination and treatment pursuant to NRS 616C.010.
