1.  An anesthesiologist assistant licensed pursuant to NRS 630.2683 or 630.2685 who is responding to a need for medical care created by an emergency or disaster, as declared by a governmental agency, may render emergency care that is directly related to the emergency or disaster without the supervision of a supervising anesthesiologist as required by this chapter. The provisions of this subsection apply only for the duration of the emergency or disaster.

2.  A supervising anesthesiologist who supervises an anesthesiologist assistant who is rendering emergency care that is directly related to an emergency or disaster, as described in subsection 1, is not required to meet the requirements set forth in this chapter for such supervision.
