The Board or any person who or other organization which initiates or assists in any lawful investigation or proceeding concerning the discipline of a chiropractic physician or a business entity that provides chiropractic services is immune from any civil action for that initiation or assistance or any consequential damages, if the person or organization acted without malicious intent.

- Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
- person: means a natural person, any form of business or social organization and any other nongovernmental legal entity including, but not limited to, a corporation, partnership, association, trust or unincorporated organization. See Nevada Revised Statutes 0.039
- physician: means a person who engages in the practice of medicine, including osteopathy and homeopathy. See Nevada Revised Statutes 0.040
