1.  A person engaged in any business or profession for which a license is required pursuant to this chapter may not bring or maintain an action in any court of this State, or be awarded judgment, for the collection of compensation for the performance of any act or contract for which such a license is required without alleging and proving that the person was licensed at all times during the performance of the act or contract.

Terms Used In Nevada Revised Statutes 638.019

  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • person: means a natural person, any form of business or social organization and any other nongovernmental legal entity including, but not limited to, a corporation, partnership, association, trust or unincorporated organization. See Nevada Revised Statutes 0.039

2.  Proof of licensure pursuant to this section must be made by production of a verified certificate of licensure from the Board which establishes that the person bringing the action was licensed as required by subsection 1.
