The board of county commissioners of a county or the governing body of a city may, by ordinance, prohibit any person from advertising within its respective jurisdiction as a junk dealer or a secondhand dealer unless the person holds a valid license or registration to engage in such a business within the jurisdiction. The county or city may require that the number of the person’s business license or state business identification number be included in such advertising.

- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
- person: means a natural person, any form of business or social organization and any other nongovernmental legal entity including, but not limited to, a corporation, partnership, association, trust or unincorporated organization. See Nevada Revised Statutes 0.039
