‘Waiting period’ means the period established by a plan of health insurance that must pass before a person who is an eligible participant or beneficiary in a plan is covered for benefits under the terms of the plan. The term includes the period from the date a person submits an application to an individual carrier for coverage under a health benefit plan until the first day of coverage under that health benefit plan.

  • Beneficiary: A person who is entitled to receive the benefits or proceeds of a will, trust, insurance policy, retirement plan, annuity, or other contract. Source: OCC
  • person: means a natural person, any form of business or social organization and any other nongovernmental legal entity including, but not limited to, a corporation, partnership, association, trust or unincorporated organization. See Nevada Revised Statutes 0.039
