Terms Used In Nevada Revised Statutes > Chapter 202 > Miscellaneous Crimes Concerning Public Safety

  • Assets: (1) The property comprising the estate of a deceased person, or (2) the property in a trust account.

  • Liabilities: The aggregate of all debts and other legal obligations of a particular person or legal entity.
  • Open-end credit: A credit agreement (typically a credit card) that allows a customer to borrow against a preapproved credit line when purchasing goods and services.   • person: means a natural person, any form of business or social organization and any other nongovernmental legal entity including, but not limited to, a corporation, partnership, association, trust or unincorporated organization. See Nevada Revised Statutes 0.039
  • Personal property: All property that is not real property.
  • Restitution: The court-ordered payment of money by the defendant to the victim for damages caused by the criminal action.
  • Settlement: Parties to a lawsuit resolve their difference without having a trial. Settlements often involve the payment of compensation by one party in satisfaction of the other party's claims.
