Terms Used In Nevada Revised Statutes > Chapter 641B > General Provisions
- Board: means the Board of Examiners for Social Workers. See Nevada Revised Statutes 641B.030
- Clinical social work: means the application of methods, principles and techniques of case work, group work, community organization, administration, planning, consultation, research and psychotherapeutic methods and techniques to persons, families and groups to help in the diagnosis and treatment of mental and emotional conditions. See Nevada Revised Statutes 641B.030
- county: includes Carson City. See Nevada Revised Statutes 0.033
- person: means a natural person, any form of business or social organization and any other nongovernmental legal entity including, but not limited to, a corporation, partnership, association, trust or unincorporated organization. See Nevada Revised Statutes 0.039
- physician: means a person who engages in the practice of medicine, including osteopathy and homeopathy. See Nevada Revised Statutes 0.040
- Social work: means the application of methods, principles and techniques of case work, group work, community organization, administration, planning, consultation and research to assist persons, groups or communities to enhance or restore their ability to function physically, socially and economically.
