- Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
- Bequest: Property gifted by will.
- Conveyance: shall be construed to embrace every instrument in writing, except a last will and testament, whatever may be its form, and by whatever name it may be known in law, by which any estate or interest in lands is created, aliened, assigned or surrendered. See Nevada Revised Statutes 111.010
- Council: means the Nevada Advisory Council on Federal Assistance created by Nevada Revised Statutes 358.010
- Deposition: An oral statement made before an officer authorized by law to administer oaths. Such statements are often taken to examine potential witnesses, to obtain discovery, or to be used later in trial.
- Devise: To gift property by will.
- Finance charge: The total cost of credit a customer must pay on a consumer loan, including interest. The Truth in Lending Act requires disclosure of the finance charge. Source: OCC
- Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.
- Hearsay: Statements by a witness who did not see or hear the incident in question but heard about it from someone else. Hearsay is usually not admissible as evidence in court.
- Lands: shall be construed as coextensive in meaning with lands, tenements and hereditaments, and shall include in its meaning all possessory right to the soil for mining and other purposes. See Nevada Revised Statutes 111.010
- Lien: A claim against real or personal property in satisfaction of a debt.

- Mortgage: The written agreement pledging property to a creditor as collateral for a loan.

- Oath: A promise to tell the truth.
- Personal property: All property that is not real property.
- Probate: Proving a will
- Restrictive covenant modification document: means a certified copy of a written instrument which redacts from the written instrument any language identified in a court order issued pursuant to Nevada Revised Statutes 111.010
- Restrictive covenant modification form: means the form prescribed by the Real Estate Division of the Department of Business and Industry pursuant to Nevada Revised Statutes 111.010
