Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 100-A:19-h
- Member: shall mean any person included in the membership of the retirement system, as provided in N. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 100-A:1
- Predecessor system: shall mean , where applicable, the Employees' Retirement System of the State of New Hampshire, the New Hampshire Teachers' Retirement System, the New Hampshire Policemen's Retirement System, and the New Hampshire Permanent Firemen's Retirement System, any one of them, or any combination thereof. - Retirement: shall mean withdrawal from active service with a retirement allowance granted under the provisions hereof. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 100-A:1
- Retirement system: shall mean the New Hampshire Retirement System as defined in N. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 100-A:1
- Service: shall mean service as an employee, a teacher, a permanent policeman or a permanent fireman which is paid for by an employer. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 100-A:1
Any member of the retirement system who has creditable service in both the New Hampshire retirement system and a predecessor system, by reason of having ceased to be eligible for membership in such predecessor system because of change of job classification or transfer to a different job, may retire under the provisions of this subdivision. The allowance with respect to service in the predecessor system shall be computed on the basis of the provisions of the predecessor system. The minimum age shall be computed as provided in N.H. Rev. Stat. § 100-A:19-b, with service in the New Hampshire policemen’s retirement system or the New Hampshire permanent firemen’s retirement system being counted as group II service and service in any other predecessor system being counted as group I service.
