Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 104:11

  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • person: may extend and be applied to bodies corporate and politic as well as to individuals. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:9
  • Writ: A formal written command, issued from the court, requiring the performance of a specific act.
No attorney shall be personally liable to any sheriff, or other officer authorized to serve process, for his fees or expenses incurred in the service of any writ or other process placed in his hands for service, except upon an express contract to pay the fees and expenses thereon. But said officer shall have a right of action against the person suing out such process.
